People come to yoga for many different reasons; to heal an injury, to workout, to meditate. What is important is what you get out of it. Here at Optimum Vitality, Yoga isn’t about touching toes, conquering a pose or wearing a fancy outfit. It’s about the breath. Focusing on the breath enables us to quiet our minds & open our hearts. We practice a vinyasa style yoga emphasizing alignment & breath-body integration. We use the postures as tools in order to help open our bodies, foster more strength & challenge our flexibility.
Private and small group classes are held at the clinic. These are great if you’re new to yoga and prefer some direct one-on-one communication before attending a group class. Perhaps you’ve been practicing for awhile and want to dive deeper into the practice and certain postures; another great reason to schedule a private class. Privates are also offered for small groups (up to 5) for special occasions and for couples looking to cultivate strength together.
Private classes are 75 minutes long and cost $50. Each additional person (up to 4) add an additional $5 per person.
Group classes are offered at Martingilio Martial Arts, 680 Canyon Drive – Madison. Sunday is a basic, slow-flow class perfect for all levels, especially beginners. We keep it simple, stick to the foundations and let the breath do the work. Thursday is a mixed level class integrating faster, fluid movement. In this class we seek to build heat rapidly thereby enhancing strength & stamina. Don’t be afraid to sweat on Thursdays!
Group classes are 60 minutes long (Thursdays @ 5pm & Sundays @ 6pm). Drop-in rate: $12 or $90 for a 10-class pass.
