THE SWEET TOOTH CURSE

Most of us already know that sugar is probably the single most detrimental thing that can affect our health and how we feel but did you also know sugar can also cause you hangover type symptoms? Here are some of the symptoms of sugar hangover and see if they sound familiar:

Brain Fog, lack of energy, bloating and gas, headache, muscle and joint aches, back pain, constipation/diarrhea, skin problems, allergies, and mood swings… especially depression.

Sounds like I just described most of the population, well that’s the point; many times we don’t realize that a lot of why we don’t feel good is because of sugar.

If you haven’t visited Dr. Nancy Appleton’s website on sugar please do and read the 146 things that sugar causes: http://www.nancyappleton.com/.  Sugar is not only just white sugar but other forms of sugar as well such as; grains, bread, flour, wheat, fruit, honey, juice, soda and corn syrup.  It is estimated that on an average day we consume over 2 cups of sugar.  There will be over 12 billion dollars this year alone spent on just diabetes medication, it is becoming epidemic.

The food industry has realized for many years how addictive sugar is, that’s why it added to most everything we consume, even cigarettes. It can dehydrate us, aggravate yeast conditions, disturb our sleep, affect, kidneys, liver and small intestines.  Even a little sugar can send you on a physical and emotional roller coaster ride.

SAY GOODBYE TO CRAVINGS

Here is the good news, cravings can be beat by in as little as 4 days by adding sour and fermented foods to your diet.  By adding pickles, kefir, sauerkraut, plain yogurt (no fruit) in as little as 4 days you can manage your sugar addiction.  The sour foods override the sweet cravings and within 4 days the body has lost its “memory” for sugar.

The good news is that if you only work on one aspect of your diet and health this should be it because it will make the most profound changes in your health.
